serene sanctuaries teeming with Wildlife. While the iconic Bengal tiger India’s
national animal is the top draw for safari-goers, an impressive array of wild
things can be spotted in India’s teakwood forests, grasslands, mountains,
rivers, and other natural spaces.
Some of our popular National Parks are Kaziranga located in
the Golaghat and Nagaon district of Assam, home to the one-horned rhino, this
most notable wildlife sanctuary has been declared as a World Heritage Site by
UNESCO in the year 1985. Ranthambore National Park and Tiger Reserve in
Rajasthan are one of the world’s best-known wilderness areas. Bandhavgarh is a
world-famous Tiger reserve, spread over the Vindhya Mountains in Central India.
Pench Tiger Reserve situated along the Pench River is one of the largest game
reserves of Madhya Pradesh. Keoladeo National Park formerly known as the
Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, situated 185 Km. from Jaipur is recognised as one of
the world’s most important bird breeding and feeding grounds. Tadoba is
probably one of India’s finest Tiger Reserves in Madhya Pradesh. And the Gir
National Park in Gujarat home to Asiatic Lions is one of its kind in the world.
